A full-time hands-on gap year dedicated to practical nature conservation, wildlife care, and environmental education at Falkenhof Potsdam.
Before starting my training and university studies, I completed a Voluntary Ecological Year (FÖJ) from 2006 to 2007 with Wald-Jagd-Naturerlebnis e.V. in Potsdam.
Hands-on Experience:
- Animal Care & Conservation: Daily feeding, handling, and care for birds of prey and rehabilitation animals.
- Forest Pedagogy: Guiding student groups, holiday camps, and nature educational tours.
- Habitat Maintenance: Groundskeeping, practical woodwork, and enclosure maintenance.
A formative experience that grounded my lasting passion for biology, ecology, and scientific inquiry.
